LUCEBERT (Amsterdam 1924 - Alkmaar 1994)
Painter, graphic artist, ceramist, poet.
Lucebert (1924-1994) was a prominent Dutch artist who had an indelible influence on both poetry and the visual arts. His unique and versatile talents have given him a lasting place in the cultural history of the Netherlands and beyond.
Born as Lubertus Jacobus Swaanswijk, Lucebert chose to develop his poetry and artistry under the name "Lucebert". He was one of the leading figures of the Dutch experimental poetry movement and is often regarded as a pioneer of the Vijftigers movement.
