Hilversum Painting Circle

The Hilversum Painters Circle was founded in 1955 through the initiative of Jan Hendriks, an amateur draftsman and painter and later also a graphic artist. Later this artists' association was also known as 'De Kring'. Jan Hendriks was chairman of the group for more than 25 years. The Hilversum Painters Circle consisted of draftsmen, painters, graphic artists, sculptors and other visual artists. One of the activities of this artists' association was to set up exhibitions.
