Very beautiful, characteristic work by Dirkje Kuik. Washed ink on paper, signed and dated in ink (1983) and with extensive annotations. In a beautiful painted frame, behind museum glass and with complementary passe-partout (probably edited by Kuik himself with washed ink). Everything in very good condition.
Dimensions: 68cm x 54cm (incl. frame), 49cm x 35cm (inside passe-partout)
The Moreelse of the title is most likely the well-known painter Paulus Moreelse (1571-1638), who, in addition to being an artist, was also an architect and designed, among other things, the Catharijne Gate (1626-1850). The design by Dirkje Kuik in the drawing is probably a design in Moreelse's style as a tribute. The Moreelse van Kuik could also be the son of Paulus Moreelse, Hendrick Moreelse (1615-1666), creator of an urban expansion plan for Utrecht and later mayor.

When purchasing, a work of art can always be picked up, but by appointment, in Diemen (near Amsterdam, a few minutes from the A10 ring road). The collection period is very long; you can possibly pick up the work weeks or even months later and, if possible, combine it with a visit to (the) Amsterdam area for other matters.
