Beautiful gouache by Herbert Fiedler, after a painting by Poussin, which is in the Ermitage. Signed bottom right Fiedler , with further text: Apres Poussin "Tancrede et Ermine" (l'Hermitage a Leningrad). Year of creation probably between 1912 and 1962. See also Fiedler's catalog raisonné at the RKD. The dimensions given there are not entirely correct. According to a label on the back, the framing was done by the company AJ Heijdenrijk. Judging by the frame quality, this is indeed the case: solid gold-colored frame, linen mat, with plastic trim. Work and frame in excellent condition. The gouache is behind glass, hence some reflections in the photos. More photos on request.
