Geboren (1903) in Groningen stad, overleden te Rheden in 1985 was van beroep pastoor. Hij volgde zijn opleiding aan de Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten (Amsterdam). Kwalificaties: schilder, tekenaar, aquarellist, pentekenaar, etser, kunstnijveraar. De onderwerpen betreffen voornamelijk christelijk religieuze voorstellingen, portretten en stillevens.
