Ko Oosterkerk   (Velsen, 1928 - Gemert, 2012 ) was a Dutch graphic artist   and a painter.

Oosterkerk studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, and began his career as a painter. In the early sixties he focused on graphics.

Ko Oosterkerk was a great nature lover. The grand and robust landscapes of Brittany, but also the smallest shells on the beach inspired him enormously. Binoculars and microscope, both instruments enabled him to observe nature; he processed the reflection of this in his etchings.

He exhibited in the Groninger Museum (1971), the Van Abbemuseum (1975) and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (1993), among others.

In 1955 and 1957 Oosterkerk received the   Royal Subsidy for Free Painting , in 1963 the Quarles van Ufford Prize and in 1998 he received the 'Stichting Dr. C. Rijnsdorp Prize' for his entire oeuvre.
