Don't expect artificially arranged bouquets, I'm satisfied with a lonely flowering branch, from the bud to the withered leaf. That's where I find hidden treasures and indulge in dissecting a single flower or leaf shape. The floral patterns and graceful lines offer numerous possibilities for combination and repetition. This creates more abstract compositions full of eroticism and drama. With warm earth colours in transparent layers, the delicate, transient flower comes to life. Paintings It starts with lots of colour and with stencils cut from cardboard, the final image is created layer upon layer. Etchings The zinc plate that is printed already has a tone of its own. I add something to that and in this way a kind of skin is created on the paper. The colours are often a bit smudgy and dirty, but I find that very beautiful. Textiles The design is drawn by hand, then I screen-print the pattern onto the fabric.
