Pien van den Broek , born 1941 in Voorburg, South Holland, painter.

“Visual artist Pien van den Broek-Opstelten (Hoevelaken) paints intuitively, based entirely on her feelings. With paint and water she goes in search of a composition that grows under her hands into images that fascinate her: the vulnerable human being , the vulnerable human being in the landscape, the landscape itself, the landscape with its horizon, the landscape that is even bigger, wider. must, the horizon that must lie even further, that is how she paints layer upon layer and understands the art of omission.
