Willem Nijs (1902-1961) Wilhelmus Johannes Hyacinthus (Wim) Nijs was a Dutch sculptor, graphic artist, painter and textile artist. He was educated at the Academy of Fine and Technical Arts in Rotterdam as a pupil of Lambertus Franciscus Edema van der Tuuk and Simon Miedema. He was trained as a sculptor, but later developed into a painter and graphic artist.
