Wiebe A. van der Zee - Screen print, cows in the meadow. - Sold

Wiebe grew up in Sneek until he was 7, where he attended the Eben Haêzer school. Lego is his favorite toy and outside he likes to play football on the playing field in front of the parental home at Harmen Sytstrastraat 17. After living in Harderwijk for six months, the family moves to Leeuwarden, where Wiebe finishes primary school. He finds drawing a fun activity.
At the Tjerk Walles Mavo, Wiebe quickly stood out for his creative spirit. His drawings and paintings may be exhibited in the school corridor. His favorite teacher is Mr. Sol, craft teacher. As a painter of landscapes, Wiebe regularly encountered cows that took away the view from his subject. On a holiday in Gorsel, Wiebe discovered the power of cows. As a boy, Wiebe was already fascinated by these impressive animals, which was a good starting point. At Uncle Auke's he stood behind the cows in the warm stable, as Wiebe remembered. A bunch of ruminating red cows are painted in watercolor. It must have been around 1986 that Wiebe rediscovered cows.
